RD is a newly designed range of SACMI multi-layer dryers, developed to maximize operational flexibility, improve process management and simplify maintenance. Highly configurable and compact, these dryers aim to meet a vast diversity of production requirements.
Available with configurations that have from 3 to 9 loading layers (both odd- and even-numbered), the RD allows for effective control of different production types and sizes, including delicate products such as slabs. The numerous combinations – both in terms of inlet width and number of layers – allow optimization of machine use to match specific needs, ensuring exceptional flexibility and efficiency under different working conditions.
Smaller footprint, simplified maintenance
On the RD, the monobloc removable framework optimizes both footprint and logistics, smoothing transport, handling and installation. The compact layout lets manufacturers maximize performance while maintaining outstanding operational flexibility.
RD retains all the advantages of the current SACMI multi-layer dryer range (the EM5/7 and ECP/E7P) while introducing new design features that streamline operational management and raise process efficiency.
Maintenance access has been improved thanks to larger doors and the absence of external lateral ‘downpipes’. Tasks are also made quicker and easier by the separation module with access points in the vault and the absence of any internal blowers/hoods or external side piping. A simplified HMI streamlines settings and supervision, rendering parameter control immediate and user-friendly.
Process control, high performance
Precise control of flows and heat exchange allows higher product quality and lower consumption. It’s possible – at the customer’s discretion – to install partitions between roller layers to improve process control under all manufacturing conditions.
Thanks to adjustable blowing pressure, RD dryers optimize efficiency. Fast cycles ensure ultra-high productivity, with excellent operational flexibility. The process can be managed via the control panel or a tablet, with the option of remote control from the kiln or plant PC.
Energy efficiency and hybrid configurations
Also available in a chain-driven version, the SACMI RD dryer is natively designed to recover hot air from the Maestro kiln, with the option, in the ‘zero fuel’ configuration, of eliminating consumption during routine operation.
The RD range also offers new ‘hybrid’ configurations: natural gas-electric and hydrogen-natural gas. Depending on the availability of renewable energy, these solutions let manufacturers accelerate towards carbon-neutrality goals, limiting both consumption and emissions and helping to safeguard the environment.
