The inauguration of the new LB Technology Centre took place in recent days as a key step in the company’s innovation strategy. Created to accelerate research and development, it offers customers and partners a complete infrastructure managed by a specialised staff that oversees the entire process, from formulation to solution validation.
At the heart of the renovated facility is the new granulation tower, part of a project co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development. It allows real production conditions to be simulated and recipes and parameters to be optimised. Dry granulation technology reduces consumption and emissions by over 50% and allows industrial waste to be reused.
The Technology Centre, where six specialised operators work, is a laboratory where LB and its customers develop tailor-made projects in partnership and test solutions before production. In synergy with prestigious institutes such as ISSMC-CNR, the test results are certified and transferable on an industrial scale.
With the new centre, the international LB Technology group – composed of the two industrial entities LB and Barcom – aims to consolidate its role as a technological partner for a more efficient, circular and sustainable industry that transforms every resource into value. As it has being doing since 1973.
