In the space of Milano Urban Lab, at Mo.1950, Caesar will be among the protagonists of the new edition of ‘The Instant of Change’ to inaugurate the theme of the new edition of Fuorisalone 2022 ‘Between Space and Time’.

Research and innovation are key factors in the constant process of development and growth that has accompanied Caesar from its beginnings to the present day. It is a process that leads to investigate new stylistic recipes, new design solutions, new formulas capable of combining perfectly balanced technical values and artistic value.

“The Instant of Change” is once again this year an artistic and cultural project in which Caesar pushes its ceramic DNA towards a transversal analysis, capable of combining unusual but highly effective aspects of communication, observation and expression.

A well-known space with renewed contents, once again the protagonist of the new edition of Fuorisalone 2022, the international appointment with design that will take place in Milan from 6 to 12 June, concurrently with the Salone del Mobile and will deal the topic “Between Space and Time”. An appointment Caesar makes with customers, friends and visitors in its exceptional exhibiting, the Milano Urban Lab, the hub of Milan inaugurated in 2020 in the very central Via Molino delle Armi 14, just a few minutes’ walk from Piazza del Duomo and near the new M4 metro line.

Milano Urban Lab was immediately proposed as an evolutionary change for Caesar, becoming part of a multifunctional environment under Mo.1950, created by the entrepreneurial vision of Corrado Molteni and designed by Matteo Lualdi, to generate a synergic and profitable coexistence of materials and brands representing the excellence of the furnishing design world, for providing the right inspiration even for the most complex interior design projects.

In this multifaceted and multifunctional context, “The instant of Change” will convey this year from 6 to 30 June the project expression of artist Alessandro Furchino Capria1, curated by the well-known photographer and creative director Luca A. Caizzi2: an artistic project of images, videos and photographs will give an innovative depth to the investigation of matter, leading the observer to examine its three-dimensionality from an unusual position.

“The instant of change is a difficult concept to define. The moment you recognise it, it means that the change has already taken place”: these are some of the words released by the artist who sought to interpret the change within the textural world of Caesar, as well as the other Rexa and Quadrodesign companies that share the Caesar showroom space at Mo.1950.

With his installation, with the significant subtitle ‘On chasing or letting go’, Alessandro Furchino Capria has exploded the process of production into a temporal succession of moments in sequence with each other and with the repetition of objects, believing that the sum of the various steps may represent not the change itself, but the transformation that leads to it: its instant.

In this way, the exhibition tries to tell the story of the processes behind the various companies “to make it clear that somehow every finished product is first thought of, designed and processed – but in a way it has always existed”. On the evening of Thursday, 9 June, a vernissage and meeting with the author will be held from 6.30 p.m. onwards.

Caesar endorsed this new interpretation of the ceramic product and material by sharing the primary meaning of the installation: Caesar, in fact, is a solid and established reality but constantly evolving and, therefore, changing. In its more than thirty years of activity, it has travelled along innovative paths from which it has always drawn competitive advantage for the contextual markets and, at the same time, it has retained new ideas for thought and research to develop state-of-the-art proposals, capable of interpreting design requests with great competence, with all the quality of porcelain stoneware made in Italy, but also with that creative mood that always leads to a new expectation: the constant renewal of the instant of change.

Caesar has also made all its know-how available to the exhibition by setting up some of its spaces through three collections in particular: Anima Futura, Key_Mood and Alchemy. The elegance of Anima Futura’s stoneware was rendered in a thoroughly contemporary key, while Key_Mood’s Italian stone, with a wide range of sizes and finishes, offered a minimalist look. Alchemy, on the other hand, has given an unusual interpretation of metal and its oxidation characteristics that are illuminated and embellished in a very personal way.

We remind you that the installation “The Instant of Change” at Mo.1950 can be found in all the main guides involved in the Fuorisalone 2022 circuit.
